  • [SPOILER ALERT] BF Theories!

This thread contains some theories I have concluded after collecting some information from units' lores and storylines. Feel free to add the theories if you want.
!! contains theories from Units currently still in JP !!
!! contains spoilers from the next maps !!

    Gods and Disciples
    • Player encountered Maxwell first because Maxwell was actually still suffered from the injuries Canon dealt to her. Yep, those injuries were VERY severe that even She needs years, or even centuries, to recover.
    • Player encoutered Cardes afterwards because Cardes suffered huge memory loss after being sealed by Edea and co. He lost many memories including a good amount of His powers.
    • Zevalhua and Afla Dilith didn’t suffer much from their battle against Alfa and Taser, respectively. Nor they suffered from memory loss. That’s why They were ready when player faced Them.
    • Zevalhua and Afla Dilith are aware about Lucius’ plan. Before the war, they didn’t know much about why Lucius sealed Karna Masta or such, but then they realized it. Ironically, they realized this after Maxwell and Cardes’ defeat.
    • Maxwell realized Lucius’ plan when player defeated Abaddon and arrived in St. Lamia. That is why She wanted to curse player, but ended cursing Tilith instead.
    • It is possible that the resurrected version of Maxwell (the mock unit) also has memories about Kanon.
    • Thus, Cardes’ mock version also has memories about Tohla. Noel is a genius researcher, after all.
Ten Legitimate/Higher Gods in Grand Gaia
    1. Karna Masta the Supreme God (disciple : Feeva)
    2. Lucius the God who governs the gates (disciple : Tilith)
    3. Creator Maxwell (disciple :Kanon)
    4. Cardes the Malevolent (disciples : Tora & Zebra)
    5. Divine Emperor Zevalhua (disciples : Alfa & Mare)
    6. Beast God Afla Dilith (disciple : Zurg)
    7. 4 more vanished during the war.
Lesser Gods : Kajah batch, Azael?
    Disciple of unknown : Kira
Tazer lost his master long before the war

    Arc
    • Arc is the mastermind behind the death of the Six Heroes, except Eze and Lance. The knight mentioned in some of Loyalists and Six Heroes’ lore is him.
    • Arc is the one who broke Narza’s sanity so the latter went to kill Magress.
    • Arc also hired Kuda, and asked Kuhla to betray Sama Kingdom.
    • It is possible that Arc tainted Tia’s mind, who was already broken thanks to Paula, making Tia went berserk and eventually meet her end in Vargas’ hand.
    • It is even possible that Arc told Tia about Vargas and his ability as Holy Flame, especially how Vargas used his ability to burn down the forests, the thing Tia hated the most.
    • Arc is the one who ordered Kuhla to recruit Rowgen, and also the one who asked Rowgen to kill Lance.
    • Lucius sealed Iria away, probably along with Karna Masta, bestowed immortality to Arc, all according to His plan.
    • Ruby's batch consists of 6 followers / close relation of "Oracle Knight and Oracle Shaman". This "Oracle Knight" is also translated as "Knight of Revelation".
    • Oracle Knight was Arc, while Oracle Shaman was Iria. Ruby and co. accompanied Arc and Iria and attacked Karna Masta.
    • When they are attacking Karna Masta, they were hindered by 3 bodyguards of Karna Masta. Originally, Karna Masta has 6 "personal bodyguards", but they were on a mission in other place. 3 of them came back to protect Karna Masta, while the other 3 stayed to finish their mission.
    • Ruby died after she protected Arc, Medina died after she protected Iria.
    • Balgran is the one who killed the three bodyguards of Karna Masta.
    • If you are wondering, the three bodyguards of Karna Masta are :
    Others
    • Elza sacrificed her life to resurrect Alice. The resurrected Alice went on killing spree again without any memories until at a point, after killing more people, she remembered about how she brought back to life, and the face of her only sister. The sacrifice of Elza finally made Alice remembered who she is, and the little butterfly continued the battle for the survival, to protect her life that Elza bestowed at the cost of the older butterfly's life.

    Six Armours Headcanon?
    • Lafdrania is basically a magical armor which evolved to answer Edea’s wish. → evolved after Edea determined to protect her comrades
    • Beiorg is an armor which evolved too far, despite being underestimated by its creator, to the point it could kill a Demon Lord. → awakened by Roa to protect his comrades, permanently deactivated by Karl to save Summoner Player and co.
    • Melchio… Just see Xeno Melchio already. It evolved near the end of war or after the war and it surrounded by dark aura. Perhaps it absorbed SGX’s power/data? → evolved after seeing Michele and co's power?
    • Vishra… Can’t say much except perhaps it was the “predecessor” of other magical armor I mentioned above. It absorbed a human and evolved. Not mentioning it killed its creator once.
    • SGX… Why did I say that SGX was very different, compared to other armors? If you noticed, SGX looked more like a machine than… say, Beiorg (WHO COULD SPEAK IN KANJI LOL) or Melchio. I guess that SGX is the very first armor Reyes created, even before Vishra? Because IIRC, SGX was “armor number one”. Its program could be the most simple too, according to its quotes. Perhaps, after learned about Melchio’s doing, Reyes reprogrammed SGX and sent it (as GX) to stop Melchio. → evolved to protect Michele.
    • Water Armor... “My name is Reeze… Number 3 of Reis’ Six Armor series… A fusion of human and armor…”
    So maybe...
#1 is SGX, #2 is Lafdrania, Beiorg is either #3 or #4, the other number is the Water Armour, #5 is Melchio, and #6 is Vishra.
Does this mean Reyes gave the number to his Armours randomly? Ugh... :s I wonder if the key to understand what kind of power did Reyes seek by making these Armours is in the Water Armour?
    Also…
    • Nemeth Gear : made by Reyes by applicating the same thories (or maybe he improved the theories) with The Six Armours. BUT!!! Nemeth Gear WAS NOT one of the Armours. Nemeth Gear mentioned in Reyes' 7* lore (...he sought cooperation from the demons, and set to create a new mechanical puppet. With his limited lifespan, he wanted to create a worthy opponent for his most poewrful creation so that it may evolve.)
    • Lilith : Reeze made her with similar theories Reyes used on his Six Armours.
    • Reeze integrated machinery to her wounded body. Therefore, the Water Armour shouldn’t be Reeze. (Need confirmation, especially if her batch gets 7*)
PS : SGX 7* is highly doubted, since Michele held DUEL Piece when she departef to other world, until long time later, where ppl only find the DUEL Piece but no Michele in sight.

PS 2 : Reyes died twice. First by Vishra, second by Nemeth Gear.

So, early days of Akras' Summoners' Hall
We have Grahdens and Owen as part of Summoners of Old.
    We also have... these.
    1. Roa and Kafka often argued, so heated until Grahdens scolded them
    2. When they entered Ishgria, they were "greeted" by the Demon Lords of Ishgria. Griff, Roa, and Kafka battled Shusui, while Iris, Libera, and Krantz battled a mysterious Demon Beast (The Ruler of the land later known as Beiorg?).
    3. The goddess mentioned in Iris' lore is PROBABLY Mora.
    4. Roa's research results + Kafka's research result of Shida's documents = Summoner's Research Lab. Yep, that one Noel managed.
    5. They died less than 25 years prior to game's timeline.
    6. Roa’s lore mentioned that he has a nephew. His nephew is Noel's father.
For the fifth point, I measured it from Grahdens' story in Mirvana. Grahdens and co explored Grand Gaia and they found a baby in the ruins of Mistral, which then they took back to Elgaia, then Grahdens raised him as his own son. IF the expedition mentioned in their lore is the same expedition Grahdens once told in Mirvana, Griff's batch died about 25 years prior to the timeline or less.

    ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT ROA

    according to reddit,
…he suggests a breakthrough plan to use a machine in a ruin when things went out of control, and let his comrades escape.
A machine in a ruin. Perhaps it was abandoned by its creator because he thought that “the evolution the Armour had undergone was much lower than he had anticipated”. Then Roa awakened the machine thanks to his ability to maintain otherworldly machines. The machine brought back to live and killed the Demon beast, BUT then the machine went berserk and killed Roa (and probably Kafka too) before took over the land which the Demon Beast once ruled?
Yes, I am talking about Beiorg here. Roa used Beiorg to attack the Demon Beast

    From Others! ^o^

Oboro supposedly worked for both Magress and Shida who were on opposing ends. And I suspect his loyalty may lie with Arc if Arc orchestrated everything.

Magress captured Themis but defied orders and released Themis out of respect. This led to Magress's exile. During his exile, Magress father was killed. Themis was target of Shida's research and Shida is probably furious with Magress for freeing her.

Eric and Magress's father were friends and Eric helped Magress despite suspecting it is wrong for Magress to pursue the revenge.

Bahvel is Magress's friend and was suspected by Magress as the one who killed his father. During Magress's revenge, he eventually fought with Bahvel and injured him. Bahvel secretly help Magress inside Bariura's empire.

Eric's guitar is probably fashioned by Shida and thus affecting him slowly near the end of the war.

Logan hunted Vishra on Shida's order not knowing that Vishra is his best friend in cursed armor. Shida then tricked Logan and experimented on Logan. Logan also became cursed. The armor worned by Vishra is probably Shida's work too.

Zellha was tricked by Shida which led to Shida capturing the gods for research. Zellha wanted to destroy Shida but was stopped by Kajah. Zellha fled, and Kajah eventually had to destroy Bariura Empire on the higher gods orders. Apparently it seemed Zellha wanted to get rid of Shida rather than let the other gods be enraged and destroy Bariura Empire.

Assuming Arc is the master for Oboro and allied with Shida, then it will have made sense. Otherwise, Shida himself is the key for majority of the issues in Bariura Empire.

The only other few who were linked to Shida indirectly were Rashil and Weiss (being "students" of Bran).

Finally worked on it. This could be easily seen somewhere, but I reworded it so you guys could understand. (Plus the cutscenes could take hours, especially if your device decides to crash)

Lucius is Karna Masta's right hand person thing who has the ability to create gates, and is driven by ambition. He has two subordinates, which is Arc and Iria, and planned to use them for the realization of his ambition, which is eternal peace. At that time, there was already a rift between the gods and humans, so he used Arc to deal the source of the problem, which is Karna Masta. They weren't able to defeat him, but they've produced enough damage to KM for Lucius to take over and seal this god along with Arc's comrades and Iria. Apparently it was so strong that it gave him coma for a few. (lol I don't know how to word this)

Somehow, while KM was being sealed, he put a curse on the people living in Grand Gaia, which is the ability to be able to subdue gods.

Upon waking up, he thought everything will be fine since the source has been sealed, but the war's still ongoing, only it's nearing its end. All he did was make the gods more angry towards the humans. So here is what Lucius told him, he could intervene for the humans by defeating the Six Legendary Heroes, not only that, Lucius also guaranteed the safety of a portion of humans by bringing them to Elgaia. From what I have read and analyzed, the friends you meet whilst traveling, (Karl(?), Seria, Lugina, Paris, Grahdens) are descendants of the people who were brought to Elgaia, and these people aren't just ordinary people, some of these were the ones who can subdue the gods, (Elgaian Heroes are the best example).

Defeating the Six Heroes is quite a difficult task for Arc, until he met Ulkina and co. He wouldn't have done this if it weren't for Iria being sealed as well, since Lucius has the power to open gates. After defeating the Six Heroes, Lucius freed Iria, just in time for Arc to assault him, but only partly, because Lucius' disciple protected him, which gave Lucius time to seal off both Iria and his disciple. (what a meanie, I know) Arc was devastated by this, but Lucius gave a proposition, he would keep Iria alive for as long as Arc lives in shame.

FF to our journey, at Bariura, Arc, after a series of tests, which includes battling Vargas and co., and Ulkina and co., will finally admit that he can now be freed from Lucius' proposition because of your dear friend Tilith, who has the same powers as Lucius. He further explains that Lucius' is not a villain, but rather, one who keeps things in order

Lucius is now planning to seal the gates between Elgaia and Grand Gaia because the human 'summoners' are still a threat to him.

By now you're wondering, why did Lucius teleported you, Karl and co., to Grand Gaia then? Because he was at his weakest at that point, and the Four Fallen Gods (which you subdued, idiot) are catalysts he can use to regain strength.

In the end, you defeat Lucius, which in turn, causes the seal of Ishglia to open, but all is well, for now, since Tilith will decide to stay. You on the other hand, along with your comrades, will have to strengthen yourselves, in order to further delve into the frontier of demons.

    Some more points to ponder:

During one of the cutscenes in Bariura, there is a conversation between the group, especially Karl and Tilith about gods. Apparently, there are only ten legitimate gods, Karna Masta, Lucius, the Four Fallen gods, and four more gods that are not yet mentioned. the other lower ranking gods can either be: angelic (like Tilith) or demonic (like Zebra, Mare and Zurg).

Also, if you would observe Karl, it seems that he finds this topic of higher beings interesting, expect him to open up more about his past upon entering Volume 2 (I'd like to call it that way because it seems cool)

Shida, who considered Rashil as his rival, left to Bariura so he could have larger-scale competitions with Rashil. Weiss continued to study under Bran until he learned enough.

Rashil was the "honor student" of the three disciples of Bran. Shida wanted to take over that position and Weiss was ignorant. And not just in terms of intelligence, either.

Shida found the Vishra armor and gave it to Logan's bro. He went crazy, and then Shida let him roaming free. Shida then called Logan to go sabotage Rashil's lab (Shida: So that he will suffer, MWAHAHAHAHA!), investigate Vriksha, and search for this so-called "demonic armor".
Why I put "investigate Vriksha" there? So that Logan could train Faris during his journey.

The reason why Shida seduced Zellha? Aside from the stated knowledge theft, it's also because he heard from Logan that Rashil currently accompanied two beautiful ladies from other world (Reeze and Lilith). Shida didn't want to lose to Rashil even in love life. And so, when he spotted Zellha and learned that she's a goddess, Shida took this opportunity to make her fall in love with him.

Also, I found it interesting that Dilma and Rashil never mention each other in their lores. Why? Because Dilma hated how Rashil approaches Lilith, and Rashil found Dilma too annoying.
Oh yeah, Logan's lore never mention Rashil either. Probably an insult to Shida or two made him angry towards Rashil?

For Golem, I have this theory that it resided the spirit of Lira's father.

And a lighthearted theory for once: Bran's favorite pastry is cheesecake. Next is banana cupcakes.

Actually Arc is Lucius' disciple and probably a minor God, Arc may or may not be the cause of the conflicts between Humans and Gods. Shida was the trigger between the fallout between humanity and Gods due to his dubious research. Remember even Zellha was tricked by Shida.

Shida. Yes I've noticed. He's had a hand in several characters' stories. But the ones I remember clearly are that of Vishra and Logan's. Since both of them got the armors from him.

What the hell is wrong with this guy. He's a genius, yes. But he's a top-class psycho. The worst combination for a badass (if not malicious) bastard.

I don't think Mariudeth and Lilly Matah are related to each other... as for being descendants to Orwen and Agni... negative.

Well yeah Orwen's an awful emperor who made a top-secret project where he has Lava and later Zegar as his 'experimental' knights.

Lilly Matah's rule is over dictatorship and empowerment, although she rewards her victors with the King's Crown
Orwen's rule is over pure tyranny and well... yeah he despises/hates his brother Agni

Descendants doesn't have to be grandson since I guess there are many years since Lilly died and Orwen coronated... well the theory about this isn't proved yet, only the fact that usually only the direct descendants of the royal blood could be coronated and sat on the throne as the emperor/empress ^^)

Actually the armor I believe was created by Reeze. Don't forget that she and Lilith had been fighting with Vishra and are from the same set along with Logan, Rashil, and Dilma. But it is possible that the armor could've been cursed by Lucius or Shida and parts of it were later used by Shida to 'enhance' Logan's armor after Logan damaged it.

Basically this is all Shida's fault for being a complete psycho and crazy in Grand Gaia Chronicles... Nice job Shida... You really live up to your name as a Death God.

As for Reis, good job to you too Reis.... You're so similar to Shida, but your psycho campaign is in Ishgria (which is ironically because Reis is also makes some great disturbance too in Grand Gaia).

Why must Scientist like Shida and Reis is the one who looked so fuc*ed up? It's such a great irony.

Randal may be correct with Shida being the ultimate troll, since he was the one who messed with the gods. (Shame on you if you have a Shida, jk)
However, there are a few others who added fuel to the fire that Shida started.

Lilly Matah - She conducted a 'coliseum', wherein she would pit in humans to further strengthen her. I guess that it would be something that'll trigger the god's disapproval on humans? Also, she may or may not be the emperor that Shida served for, only Shida messed with the gods. That is, if you don't consider the gender counterparts of Matah's title.

Orwen - It is given that he trained Lava and Zegar to battle the gods, and the fact that his younger brother is more famous and loved compared to him. It is also given that he 'tried to escape to another country' when Agni started wearing out during the war. So that means, there is a chance that he decided to not escape, but tather, to seek power. The question is, where did he go? Agni Dungeon, where the former Agni emperor (and possibly Agni and Orwen's father) Verdute, lives. Check out the similarities between Orwen and Verdute. This may also be one of the triggers, although he returned to help, so I'm 50-50 on this.

Let's not forget the 12 Guardians as well.

Feel free to correct, or add some more info on the triggers. I'm working on Lucius.

Verdute is a fallen emperor of Agni, who was later imprisoned in a dungeon, heard he died there too and became a vengeful spirit.

After Eve was arrested, she was given a mission then to appease the soul of the vengeful emperor (Verdute) in return is her freedom. She somewhat became successful/unsuccessful of her task to do so.

Eve's 6* Lore mentioned about this and it's one of the Historical Legends.

Agni Dungeon, the optional zone of the Agni Region arc (after completing the whole region itself) has Verdute as a boss and packs a mean punch.

Seems like it, since Orwen has a similar sword as Verdute.

As for Agni... well he's in the good side, so he doesn't have anything violent-based.

The outcome of the "real" ending behind the 12 Guardians is rather confusing... to be honest.

Some accounts of other units states that the "loyal" Guardians defeated and killed Sodis, while the "traitor" Guardians... some of them ended in a peaceful way, some escaped, some went on hiding.

Either way, their order's fall triggers the war of the gods and humans. And somehow... one of the "possible candidate" and now a Loyalist, Ulkina instead worked on training her Fire magic in order to wreck havoc later and used it against the humans.

I'll try to give more info about the Historical Legends. They are my most favorite of the unit batch Lores.
